Three points of protection
Small sensors are placed on three of your home’s entryways and emit an audible notification whenever one of those entryways is used. The audible notification can be either a beep or a programmed voice response such as, “Front door opened.” This allows you to know whenever someone enters or exits your home, and which entryway was used.
Interior infrared motion detector
This motion detector emits hundreds of infrared beams throughout the area that it’s located. Whenever too many of the beams are broken by movement through the space, the detector will trigger your system’s alarm, and therefore alerting a monitoring specialist. By placing this detector in a main room or walkway area you can catch any intruder moving through your home.
This detector is also pet sensitive with settings for pets of up to 40 or 80 pounds. This helps prevent pet-cause false alarms. If you have a pet greater than 80 pounds, your installation technician can suggest alternatives that provide an equivalent amount of protection.
Digital keypad
This keypad is your main point of control for your system. During installation it will be placed near your main entryway. The installation technician will then give you a brief tutorial on how to correctly operate you system using the keypad. It’s so easy to use that you can teach everyone in your family how to arm and disarm the system, from your children to your parents. By teaching everyone how to use the system you will help reduce the chance of a false alarm.
The digital keypad can also be programmed for one-touch manual alarms for the local police department, fire department and paramedics.
High-decibel alarm
This alarm is equivalent in volume to a police siren and will alert you to an intruder even if you are sleeping. The alarm will also let your neighbors know of an emergency situation at your home whether you are there or not. As an added bonus, this siren might startle an intruder enough for them flee your property.
Every system also comes with a built-in backup battery system that will keep your home from going a second without protection during a power outage. You will also receive an ADT yard sign and window decals that let any potential intruders know that you are serious about your home’s protection.
