ADT can protect the past and the present in Santa Fe
If you’re looking to invest in a home security system, don’t overlook a monitored system from ADT. ADT has been in business for over 130 years. ADT has since become the number one security company in the nation and the largest security company on the continent.
ADT may be the oldest around, but it’s certainly kept up with the times
ADT gives all of its customer’s top-of-the-line technology in order to monitor their homes effectively and efficiently. These devices include:
- Three points of protection: The three points of protection allow you to expand your security system. It also allows you to be constantly aware of any traffic coming into or out of your house via protected entryways. These devices attach to any three exterior windows or doors. These sensors can be programmed to chirp if their respective entryways are opened, even when the system is disarmed.
- High-decibel alarm siren: This siren will alert you whenever your alarm goes off. This siren is so loud that it can help deter intruders once they have tripped the alarm.
- Infrared interior motion detector: This detector will add another layer of protection to your home. It’s so advanced that you can even program it to ignore your wandering house pet.
- Keychain remote access: The keychain remote allows you to arm and disarm your security system from almost every room in your home.
- Digital keypad: The keypad serves as the control panel for your entire security system. It can also allow put you in touch with the Santa Fe authorities by pressing one of the manual alarm buttons. Simply ask your professional ADT installation technician to set it up for you when she arrives to configure your security system.
- Battery backup: In the event that you lose power, this feature will ensure that your home remains connected to the protective services of ADT.
ADT also supplies each customer with an ADT security yard sign and window decals. This will let everyone know that your home is monitored by the best in the business, and could help deter potential intruders.
ADT’s system works, and it works well
In the case of an emergency three things will happen:
- An emergency signal will be sent from your system to one of ADT’s nine customer monitoring centers.
- An ADT agent will respond to the signal by calling your home and asking for the security code. If the code is not given correctly, or if the phone is not answered at all, the Santa Fe authorities will be notified immediately.
- The authorities will arrive at your house to assess any situation that may have occurred.
This system is efficient. In 2004, over 50,000 crimes in progress were reported by ADT. Each year ADT handles over 19 million customer calls and over 29 million alarm signals. That is over 93,000 alarms a day in addition to 200,000+ total daily calls, 8,000 customer contacts every hour and 3.3 customer transactions every second.
The volume of signal traffic is why ADT has employed nine monitoring centers. These centers respond to all of ADT’s alarms. They are all interconnected so that if one center is overwhelmed by signals, another center can pick up the excess alarms without hesitation. This continent-wide system ensures that each customer gets the individual attention that ADT promises.
Who else uses ADT?
ADT has over 6 million customers, including federal and commercial customers. These customers include:
- 450 of the Fortune 500 companies
- 36 of the world’s largest retailers in the United States
- All federal courthouses
- Half of the nation’s top 50 national and regional banks
- 72 of the nation’s mid and large-size airports, including 19 of the 30 busiest airports in the U.S.
As you can see, ADT has probably already helped protect you without knowing it.
What else ADT has to offer
ADT has an upgrade solution for customers that do not have a landline. ADT’s CellGuard® is a piece of technology that is fitted into your control panel that allows emergency signals to be sent to the customer monitoring centers via cell towers rather than via landline.
If you have a landline, but are concerned about not being to get to your control panel in the case of an emergency, ADT offers an upgrade feature called two-way voice. Two-way voice allows your control panel to serve as an intercom between you and an ADT agent. The microphone in the device is so sensitive that it can detect normal talking voices from up to 75 feet away
