The basic Protection 1 home security package includes a color touchscreen keypad, three wireless intrusion sensors for door and window protection, motion detector, keychain remote and cellular access via two-way voice. Also included are yard signs and window decals.
More advanced Protection1 packages include Wi-Fi compatibility and mobile control through the e-Secure application. With mobile management through e-Secure, customers can access their home security system from computers and smartphones connected to the Internet. Email and text alerts of certain events can also be sent to these devices.
The premier package from Protection One includes an indoor security camera and remote home energy control, both managed using the e-Secure platform. You can also add devices such as carbon monoxide detectors, smoke and heat detectors and flood sensors.

All Protection One security systems are backed by 24/7 alarm monitoring from one of five monitoring centers that the company shares with LifeShield Security. The centers are certified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), the international safety consulting and certification company.

History of Protection One
Founded in 1988 by the utility company PacifiCorp, Protection One grew rapidly following PacifiCorp’s merger with Westar Energy.
